The performance occurred on the dirt floor of the storage area of Watershed, surrounded by stacks of raw materials in terracotta vessels. A list of synonyms for “past/record/fleeting/utterance” was applied to a shirt with clay slip. Water poured over the words, subsequently washing them away.
