“Why Clay: Material as Experience,” an original essay about the connections between performance art and ceramics, presented at a symposium at the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft in 2013.

In 2015, this essay was reformed into a performance for a symposium on interdisciplinary performance at Florida State University. A traditional presentation format was combined with video and a live performance of throwing on the potter’s wheel.
